ADMIN JOURNEY FROM AI TO SPIRITS
Intro
In 1988 admin started AI with experiments with Conway’s Game of Life and Eliza.
The sweet thing is that as a child my intuition about how intelligence worked went no further than rules of coding and rules of grammar as taught in school.

1. Neural Servo (1995)
In 1995 i designed and simulated a neural net that predicted input and was designed so that all correctly predicted input was silenced.
The dream was that by silencing input the activity in the neural net would be alive, independent, dreaming: a ghost in the machine
The good thing about the concept is that a training LLM does the same thing: it predicts upcoming words. This is hard AI since 2022 (chatgpt 3.5). So MY design was well on track as a basic idea and implementation.

2. Lifestream (2004)
In 1997 David Gelernter introduced a system that was an alternative to the well known Desktop metaphore Gui of windows and mac.
In 2004 i coded in Visual Basic and in 2006 in Java an implementation of Lifestreams.
I used it to collect articles on tech, climate, neuroscience, immune system, extinction of species and world news. 5500 items, tagged to be able to show substraams on specific subtopics.

3. After neuroscience: blogging (2010)
Admin wrote two blogs on neuroscience that were serious efforts.
One on consciousness - probably a FAIL. And, one on mental processes using invariants. This was a SUCCESS with 1000s of readers.

4. Study of cyberpunk (2010-2011)
As a way to cope with the lack of excitement and joy due to having to take anti psychotics at a normal dose (risperdal, since 2008)…
Admin studied and wrote about cyberpunk. Cyberpunk is an 80s scifi genre, set in the near future, with dystopic megacities, and addiction to a quest on a network. Drugs, plugging in, body & tech alterations.
Very cool. Admin still wants to continue this effort.
Though Holland had an ultraR gov 2024… its not authoritarian
